May 2008 There may be broken links in the back issues section over the next week or so.  We are currently updating that section of the website in order to offer sample selections from each of our issues.   Also, Plain Spoke Vol. 2. Issue 1 will be mailed out next week.  We have had some printing difficulties (this is the largest issue to date) and they are now resolved.  Part of the delay also had a little bit to do with editor Cindy Kelly's graduation and the chaos associated with said graduation.   Also, Plain Spoke thanks Douglas Rhodes for pointing out that there is no subscription information on the site.  This will also (hopefully) be fixed very soon.   12/07/07 We are currently accepting submissions of poetry, short fiction, prose poetry, and art for the Winter 2008 issue, due February 2008.   Plain Spoke's Pushcart Nominations for 2007: Poetry: "Dinner" by Amy Sargent "How Common Plantain Came to Be" by Claudia Burbank "Heading West" by Michelle Morgan "Prayer to Love Him Better" by Alison Shaffer Fiction: "Water Country" by Patrick Dacey
