Emma Traumberg, a native of Michigan, began writing in her early teens after being inspired by the works of American romantics such as Whitman, Thoreau, Dickinson, and Poe. She was introduced to beat poetry and other contemporary American literature in college, and has since sought fresh ways of uniting American poetry with music, her chosen field of study.
